"I feel most inspired to create when I am in nature, in silence, hanging out with my girls, my dog, family and friends, or at my studio painting, or sketching."  - Glow

Spiritual-mystical dimensions are salient in Glow's paintings, depicted by recurring elements suggesting pantheism and animism; the belief that a divine presence inhabits everything around us.  Her women are sublime with meditative expressions, responding and coexisting amidst the chaotic and animated naturescapes surrounding them.

"My creative process depends upon my emotional state.  Through meditation or a morning walk, I try to center and balance myself before I start painting.  The techniques I use in my murals depend on the materials available; acrylic/vinyl paint, rollers, brushes, spray paint, sponges, clothes, etc." - Glow

A member of Few&Far since 2012, Glow is a fine and urban artist by choice, graphic dsigner by trade, who has been painting and drawing since high school.  She is currently working on a 3 wall installation, art shows in San Diego, La Lomita, Valle de Guadalupe, B.C., a duo show at CEART Meicali with artist Fernando Mendez Corona in late September, Meeting of Styles Guadalajara and Mexico City in October, as well as a future mural for the Mexican Consulate in Sacramento in August.

At the prompting of a muralist friend In 2011, Glow began laying up murals in San Diego, CA.  "One of the greatest challenges for me with urban art is that you're exposed.  It's very different to paint in you studio, at your pace, in your space, as opposed to places you've never visited before, with people who don't know your art.  It takes you out of your comfort zone.  Producing work for a gallery implies preparation and studio work, where you're acquainted with your enironment, and it's directed toward a certain limited group of people.  Painting on the street is quite the contrary.  You don't know the neighborhood or wall where you're going to paint, sometimes you don't know what materials will be available.  Anything can happen.  Some wall surfaces take more time than others.  You're rolling with people you don't know, with artists you just met, and don't know their work-flow."

GLOW

In her own words, Glow has a passion for painting in the streets, "I love painting on walls because of the spontaneity.  There is no other choice except to improvise, and that's how things turn out best.  By being an urban artist, I have come into contact with many artists and traveled many places, for which I'm very grateful."
