Based out of Seattle, WA, graffiti artist Merlot, creates signature boundary pushing compositions with bold color stories that strike a balance between traditional visual and graphic art influences, and her playfully loose writing and painting style.

 

Painting since 2007, with a background in graphic design, Merlot gravitates toward graffiti's non-dictative discipline, that encourages her creativity to thrive freely.  Merlot's fascination with fashion's textures and patterns, have fueled her experimentation with flowing letterforms and novel color schemes.  Inspired by her travels, Merlot's work is heavily influenced by the exploration of new environments and ideas,.  She has painted in most major US cities, as well as Canada, the UK, and Israel.

 

After their inagural annual anniversary show in Seattle of June 2012, Merlot was encouraged by her friends 179. Hops, and KSRA to paint on the Few&Far walls, and join them a month later in San Francisco, where she painted with additional crew members, and accepted their invitation to join. 

 

Merlot plans to continue honing her style while traveling and painting.  She desires to serve as an inspiration to others, and be proud of her creative endeavors.
