Meme hails from Northern California, and is a self taight graffiti artist and skateboarder.  She began skateboarding at age 15, and fell in love with the colorful graffiti she saw on a freight train while skating in a skatepark in Trukee.

Since then, graffiti indelibly influenced her life, and motivated her, in June of 2011, to found Few and Far, an artist collective that mirrors her positivity and passions.  A prominent female voice in the male-dominated worlds of graffiti and skateboarding, Few and Far, is an all female group of artists and skaters supporting and empowering each other as women and artists, that now has 17 international members who paint murals collaboratively around the world, and skateboard together across the United States.

In addition to organizing Few and Far, Meme also directs createive photo shoots, skateboard and mural projects, group trips, and skates and paints everyday.  Recently her ambitions led her to Bali, where she organized a large-scale mural project involving youth.  Meme strives to improve the world around her through art and activism.

"I work best under pressure.  I find it extremely difficult to draw and make art inside or on canvas. I prefer having the freedom to paint a wall, train or what ever I come across outside, playing by my own rules and limits."  - Meme

MEME

In her own words, Meme describes her artwork as fueled by a resilient creative spirit developed by her struggle as a woman skatboarder and active graffiti writer.  "I aim for my graffiti/art to reach many people and youth seeking social change and eqality in the world....to inspire girls and women to be proud, hold their heads high, and achieve their goals and passions."

"Traveling defintely plays a huge factor in my lifestyle and art.  I find myself being creative almost every moment of my life, and multiple areas of interests keep me busy.  I've been so blessed to have outlets to express myself.  I connect deeply with nature so simply working in my garden brings joy to my soul tht helps continue to feed my art flow." - Meme

"Doing graffiti where I shouldn't is my artist resume, and my inspirations are the crews I'm in, as well as people all over the world, doing wonderful things to make the world a better place." - Meme

"Bombsheller is making some pretty amazing leggings.  I think artists like ourselves sometimes don't get enough opportunities like this, to work with clothing companies that share or appreciate the kind of art we create.  The high quality material really represents the art they feature well, and I'm super excited to see how my shells (pair of leggings) turn out."  - Meme
